Finn Harps' League of Ireland Premier Division opener against Drogheda United is off due to snow from Storm Eunice.
The storm is currently rolling across the country, bringing strong winds and heavy rain, with that rain turning into snow in some counties.
And Donegal has been hit hard by snowfall today as the Ballybofey fixture was called off due to an unplayable pitch.
The first inspection took place at 10.00am, but the game was called off after a second look at the playing area at 1.00pm.
Officials postponed the game amid concerns over the pitch conditions as well as the health and safety of supporters attending the game.
An SSE Airtricity League statement read: "Due to pitch conditions and health & safety concerns, the fixture has been postponed A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course."
There was also a pitch inspection at the Carlisle Grounds where Bray Wanderers entertain Cork City in the First Division.
Saturday’s game at the Showgrounds between Sligo Rovers and Bohemians is also the subject of a 10.00am inspection tomorrow.
The FAI said it will continue to monitor all of the other Premier Division and First Division grounds around the country while adhering to all safety guidelines.
