Finn Harps to pay touching tribute to Creeslough victims with special match programme

League of Ireland Premier Division side Finn Harps will pay tribute to the victims of last week's Creeslough explosion tragedy by donating all proceeds from a special match programme honouring the victims to a charity.

Six days ago, the small town in Donegal was torn apart when a violent explosion claimed the lives of ten people. An additional eight people were injured in the blast.

For tomorrow night's game, a special match programme made in memory of the victims will be on sale as Harps face Dundalk at Finn Park. All proceeds from the sale of the programme, which contains the names of all ten victims of the explosion, will be donated to the fund for victims of the tragedy

" Programme cover for tomorrow's clash with Dundalk FC, " begins the Finn Harps tweet which contains a picture of the programme cover.

" All proceeds from the programme will be donated to the fund for victims of the Creeslough tragedy. There will also be a bucket collection on match night. Programmes will be available online and from Finn Park. "

Harps are one of a number of clubs who have launched charity initiatives for those affected by the explosion. Celtic, a Glasgow club with deep Donegal routes, donated €10,000 to the fund and held a poignant minutes silence prior to their Champions League clash with RB Leipzig at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening.

Other sports stars including Seamus Coleman and Amber Barrett have paid tribute to the victims in recent days.

Finn Harps game with Dundalk will kick-off at 8pm tomorrow. The programme can be purchased online as well as at the ground.
