Finland's outgoing Prime Minister Sanna Marin has announced that she and her husband of three years have filed for divorce.
Ms Marin, 37, was the world's youngest prime minister when she took office in 2019.
She married Markus Raikkonen — who until recently worked at a venture capital firm — a year later.
"We are grateful for the 19 years together and our beloved daughter. We will remain best friends," Ms Marin said.
"We will continue to spend time together as a family and with each other. We hope that you respect our privacy. We will not comment further on the matter."
Ms Marin and Mr Raikkonen — who share a 5-year-old daughter — jointly filed for divorce and announced it on Instagram on Wednesday.
"We have lived our youth together, entered adulthood together and grown into parents for our dear daughter together," Ms Marin said after their wedding in 2020.
Ms Marin and her Social Democratic Party lost Finland's general election last month, trailing the right-wing National Coalition Party and nationalist Finns Party.
