Finglas Garda Station covered in blood after stabbing victim walks in after knife attack in Dublin

Blood covered the floor and walls of the public office of a garda station as a stabbing victim stumbled inside after a horror knife attack on the street outside.

The innocent man came back into Finglas Garda Station after he was attacked at a nearby bus stop on Liam Mellows Road on Wednesday evening.

Sources have said that he sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the attack that has been linked to an ongoing feud in Corduff.

A source said: “This man was dropping in clothes to a relative who was in custody in connection with an investigation into a feud in West Dublin.

“The man, who was totally innocent and was doing his son a favour, suffered stab wounds on the road outside.

“Gardai have a suspect in mind for the stabbing and the injured man is being cared for in hospital.”

Violence erupted in the Corduff area in recent weeks when a drug gang ruptured and spilled into open gun battles on the streets of the suburb.

In one incident, as revealed by the Irish Mirror, shots were blasted by two gunmen when the warring factions came in contact with each other.

There was also a shooting outside a school last week that saw students locked in their class rooms as gardai hunted a gun man.

The gunman sprayed bullets at two men standing outside Riversdale Community College as parents were getting ready to collect children.

No one was injured in the shooting by a lone gunman linked to an ongoing feud between two crime families in the area.

The school was put on a temporary lockdown as teachers kept the children indoors while gardai secured the roadways outside.

The feud is lead on either side by two warring families of criminals.

They are suspected to be involved in the drug trade and have been the subject of garda organised crime probes.

Tensions are high in the Corduff area, near Blanchardstown, after two months of feuding gang violence.

As exclusively revealed by the Irish Mirror a gang war has broken out on the streets of Corduff, near Blanchardstown, in West Dublin.

At least a dozen shootings have happened in recent days as a gang split into two factions.

Gardai seized at least five shotguns in raids after a gun battle broke out on the streets of Corduff.

The Irish Mirror obtained footage of the shootings as two gunmen traded shots.

Three member of one of the family were arrested for a search by gardai as they feared for their safety. They were taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station but later released.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident which occurred at approx. 5pm on 10th April 2019 at Liam Mellows Road, Finglas.

"Following a stabbing incident, an injured male presented to Finglas Garda station.

"He was conveyed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Investigations are ongoing."
