
London: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held discussions with Dame Patricia Hewitt, former UK Health Secretary and ex-Chair of the UK India Business Council in London today.
In July 2009, Hewitt joined the UK India Business Council as its chair and was reappointed to the role in 2014. She stepped down from this role in 2017. In July 2017, Hewitt was appointed the chair of the NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) Oversight Board for Norfolk and Waveney.

Sitharaman is on an official visit to the UK and Austria from April 8, 2025 (Tuesday) to April 13, 2025 (Sunday), engaging with policymakers and business leaders to boost economic partnerships.
