'Finally' - Manchester United fans react to Erik ten Hag's Casemiro decision vs Omonia Nicosia

Manager Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Europa League clash with Omonia Nicosia at the GSP Stadium in Cyprus this evening, making a handful of changes.

United, who have never faced the Cypriot outfit, will be looking to get back to winning ways following Sunday's 6-3 hammering at the hands of local rivals Manchester City. The Reds, who won their last Europa League outing, beating Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0 last month, will be determined to produce a good performance and start making amends for the weekend's horror show.

It means that Ten Hag will be desperate to see United get back on track this evening and rediscover some confidence ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Everton. The Dutchman, clearly bearing in mind the trip to Goodison Park in just over 72 hours' time, has decided to make a handful of changes to his starting line-up this evening.

Victor Lindelof, Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro have come into the side, meaning Raphael Varane, who has been ruled out because of an ankle problem, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford have dropped out. It is just Casemiro's second start since joining the club from Real Madrid in August.

Meanwhile, Anthony Martial and Anthony Elanga have been named among the substitutes. Harry Maguire and Donny van de Beek are among those who miss out through injury.

Having made three changes to his side, Ten Hag will be looking for a reaction after Sunday's defeat at City, as United go in search of their second Europa League win of the campaign. It is the inclusion of Casemiro that has attracted the most attention from United's supporters in the immediate aftermath of the team news being confirmed.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's supporters have had to say in response to Ten Hag's decision to hand the Brazilian just his second start for the club.

As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, Ten Hag's decision to hand the Brazil international a starting berth has gone down well. The fans are determined to get a proper look at him and see what he can bring to the table.

United starting line-up: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Malacia; Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Ronaldo, Sancho.

Substitutes: Dubravka, Heaton, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Iqbal, Pellistri, Elanga, Martial, Rashford, Garnacho.

This evening's contest gets underway at 5:45pm and you can follow all of the action on our live matchday blog, which you can access by clicking here.
