The Washington Commanders (4-5) look to get their first win over a team with a winning record on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks (5-3).
It will not be easy. Washington quarterback Sam Howell faces a new obstacle every week. This time, Howell plays at Lumen Field for the first time in his NFL career, which is the loudest stadium in the NFL.
The Commanders have been difficult to predict this season. Just when you think the offense is rolling, Washington puts up a stinker against a bad team. The Seahawks are good, but do we trust the Commanders to continue their recent trend of offensive success?
We here at Commanders Wire have made our picks for the Week 10 showdown between Washington and Seattle.

I think the Commanders will have success moving the football against the Seahawks. I believe Howell puts forth another strong effort but will make a mistake or two that will hurt Washington.
However, I don’t believe the Commanders offense will be the problem. Seattle quarterback Geno Smith will see Washington’s defense as the perfect bounce-back opportunity, passing for over 250 yards and two touchdowns.
I do believe the game will be close, but the Seahawks will pull away in the fourth quarter.

The Seahawks were humiliated last week by the Ravens and will no doubt be motivated to prove themselves physically this week.
Sam Howell and the offense must be entirely focused with their silent cadence because the noise in Seattle has given many teams much difficulty when their offense is on the field.
The Commanders are going to need to produce some running game, not permitting the Seahawks defense to be always rushing forward toward Howell.
The Commanders, in their four wins, have yet to defeat a team with a winning record. The Seahawks are 5-3, and a road win would be the best accomplishment thus far this season.

Sammy Mansfield
Fresh off a win against the Patriots, Washington travels west to take on a Seahawks team that just got eviscerated by the Baltimore Ravens in the DMV last week, 37-3.
Although Week 9 was a mess, Seattle cannot be taken lightly. Pete Carroll’s squad had won five out of their last six games before running into arguably the best team in the AFC.
Meanwhile, Washington has gone full-blown “Chiefs East,” as Sam Howell continues to drop back to throw more than any other QB in the league. Last week marked the first time in his career he eclipsed 300 yards passing in consecutive games.
It will be interesting to see how Seattle comes out to start the game after such an embarrassing outing. Will the sloppy play carry over into this game? Conversely, can the Commanders keep their momentum rolling from last week’s big win?
Unfortunately, I believe the Seahawks bounce back, and Geno Smith looks more like his 2022 “Comeback Player of The Year” self.
