Final PFF grades for Green Bay Packers 2024 draft class

The Green Bay Packers had four different players from their rookie class play over 100 snaps from scrimmage during the 2024 season. One was a rotational offensive lineman, and three others were starters on Jeff Hafley’s breakout defense.

First-round pick Jordan Morgan had his season sabotaged by a shoulder injury, but second-round picks Edgerrin Cooper and Javon Bullard were both starters, and fourth-round pick Evan Williams was one of the NFL’s mid-round surprises.

Cooper looks like a potential star, and Bullard and Williams will be expected starters in 2025. If Morgan can return and win a starting job, and third-round picks MarShawn Lloyd and Ty’Ron Hopper can become core players in Year 2, the Packers will have enjoyed a highly successful draft in 2024.

Here are the final grades at Pro Football Focus from the Packers’ 2024 draft class:

OL Jordan Morgan

Snaps played: 186
PFF grade in 2024: 59.2
Rank among rookie OLs: 21st

Morgan played in only six games — five as a rotational player at right guard, and one start at left guard. Recurring shoulder injuries eventually required surgery, ending his rookie season. Morgan allowed seven pressures (zero sacks, three hits, four hurries) across 104 pass-blocking snaps, and he committed one holding penalty. Morgan played 65 snaps at left guard and 121 at right guard. Among rookies who played at least 100 snaps at guard, Morgan’s final grade was fourth best.

LB Edgerrin Cooper

Snaps played: 549
PFF grade in 2024: 85.7
Rank among rookie LBs: 1st

Cooper produced a rookie-high 39 stops, or a tackle creating an offensive failure. He also had 12 pressures, the most among off-ball rookie linebackers, and 13 tackles for loss, second most among all NFL off-ball linebackers. Cooper created four turnovers — one interception, one strip sack and two recovered fumbles. He committed only one penalty but did miss 14 tackles, the most among rookie linebackers. Cooper had PFF grades above 75.0 against the run, in coverage and as a pass-rusher. He also delivered nine special teams tackles.

DB Javon Bullard

Snaps played: 816
PFF grade in 2024: 54.2
Rank among rookie DBs: 27th

Bullard had an up and down season while playing both traditional safety and nickel cornerback. He produced 26 stops, good for second most among rookie defensive backs. In coverage, Bullard allowed 48 catches on 57 targets — the 84.2 completion percentage was worst among rookie defensive backs — and three touchdown passes when targeted. He played 361 slot snaps, 259 at free safety and 169 in the box. With an opportunity to play full-time in the slot, Bullard could enjoy a big improvement in Year 2.

RB MarShawn Lloyd

Snaps played: 7
PFF grade in 2024: 53.3
Rank among rookie RBs: 22nd

An incredibly unlucky season on the injury front robbed Lloyd of his rookie season. During his lone appearance in Week 2, Lloyd carried six times for 15 yards, gained seven yards after first contact and caught his one target for three yards.

LB Ty’Ron Hopper

Snaps played: 18
PFF grade in 2024: 60.7
Rank among rookie LBs: 14th

Hopper produced two tackles across only 18 defensive snaps, and he also missed a tackle and gave up two catches in coverage. His best work came on special teams. Hopper had seven tackles covering kicks and punts and only one miss while playing 227 snaps. He was on the field for at least 10 special teams snaps in 16 of 18 games.

S Evan Williams

Snaps played: 533
PFF grade in 2024: 72.5
Rank among rookie safeties: 6th

Williams’ 14 stops ranked third among rookie safeties, and he intercepted a pass and forced a fumble while breaking up three passes. His coverage grade of 73.8 ranked second among rookie safeties despite giving up three touchdown passes. Williams showed an encouraging mix of playmaking ability and reliability as a first-year player and will be the leading candidate to start next to Xavier McKinney in 2025.

OL Jacob Monk

Snaps played: 0
PFF grade in 2024: N/A

Monk was active for 10 games and did not play a snap on offense. He appeared on 43 snaps on special teams — all as a blocker on field goal and extra point attempts. He’ll go into 2025 with a chance to be a top backup at guard and center, and possibly a starting candidate should Josh Myers depart in free agency.

S Kitan Oladapo

Snaps played: 68
PFF grade in 2024: 72.9
Rank among rookie safeties: 5th

Oladapo played in three games, including a 50-snap appearance in the season finale against the Bears. He made four tackles, didn’t have a miss and didn’t allow a catch while playing mostly as a free safety. He earned a grade of 73.9 against the Bears, suggesting he could be a capable top backup at safety in 2025.

OL Travis Glover

Snaps played: 41
PFF grade in 2024: 35.1
Rank among rookie OL: 50th (last)

Glover earned the worst grade among all rookie offensive linemen in 2024, mostly due to a nightmare performance in the playoffs against the Eagles. He committed three penalties before being pulled. His pass-blocking grade as a rookie finished at 12.6. Overall, Glover played 23 snaps at left guard, nine at right guard and nine at right tackle.

QB Michael Pratt

Snaps played: 0
PFF grade in 2024: N/A
Rank among rookie QBs: N/A

Pratt was released at final roster cutdowns and spent the 2024 season on the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

CB Kalen King

Snaps played: 0
PFF grade in 2024: N/A
Rank among rookie CBs: N/A

King was released at final roster cutdowns and spent the 2024 season on the practice squad of the Packers. He was elevated from the practice squad before a road game against the Detroit Lions but did not appear in the game.

Others

Rookie safety Omar Brown (undrafted, Nebraska) played eight snaps against the New Orleans Saints and 16 total special teams snaps (missed one tackle) across two practice squad elevations (Week 16 vs. NO, Week 18 vs. CHI).

Rookie cornerback Kamal Hadden (undrafted, Tennessee) played seven special teams snaps across two practice squad elevations (Week 4 vs. MIN, Week 9 vs. DET).
