The Detroit Lions will be a little shorthanded when they travel to New York to face the Jets in Week 15, but it’s not a severe shortage.
Just two Lions players are ruled out for Sunday’s game due to injuries. Reserve OL Kayode Awosika and LB Derrick Barnes will each miss their second consecutive game. Awosika has an ankle injury, while Barnes is dealing with a knee.
Just one other player, veteran DE Michael Brockers, is listed as doubtful for the game. Brockers is dealing with an undisclosed illness that ripped through the team over the last couple of weeks. Brockers is normally inactive, so his status shouldn’t be too much of an issue for Detroit.
Four players are questionable, including two with the same illness issue as Brockers: DE Aidan Hutchinson and CB Mike Hughes. Hutchinson returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday after missing Thursday, while Hughes did not practice all week.
The other questionable Lions are C Frank Ragnow (foot) and FB Jason Cabinda (ankle).
