The Jets and Patriots have released their final injury reports for Sunday’s game and there is a late addition for the Jets and a surprise for the Patriots.
For the Jets, DT Sheldon Rankins (elbow) and WR Corey Davis (knee) are both out, which was expected. Rankins was already known at the beginning of the week and with Davis missing the first two days of practice, he was trending toward possibly missing another game. He did not practice Friday and, as a result, he will miss his third straight game.
A third Jet missed practice Friday as well. TE Kenny Yeboah was a late addition to the report. He is now dealing with a calf injury and is listed as doubtful for Sunday.
Guard Nate Herbig (shin) was able to return to practice Friday on a limited basis and is questionable for Sunday, but head coach Robert Saleh believes he will play against the Patriots. Duane Brown (shoulder) had his usual week of practice of starting limited and then working up to full on Friday.
The Patriots will not have DT Christian Barmore, which is a surprise. He was trending toward playing with two limited practices but seemed to have suffered a setback with his knee injury as he did not practice Friday and has been ruled out for Sunday.
Punter Jake Bailey (back) also did not practice Friday after two limited days. He is listed as doubtful.
LB Anfernee Jennings (back), WR DeVante Parker (knee) and LB Josh Uche (hamstring) were all limited Friday and are all questionable.
CB Jonathan Jones, S Kyle Dugger and DL DaMarcus Mitchell were taken off the injury report and are good to go for Friday.
TE Kenny Yeboah, likely slated to be the TE3 this week, is a new addition to the injury report. Looks like rookie Jeremy Ruckert will get the call. As noted earlier, G Nate Herbig is expected to play. #Jets pic.twitter.com/rzc3DDJ1Ql
