Time is almost up to submit entries for the 2022 North East Charity Awards with the closing date now just hours away.
Nominations will be accepted up until 5pm tomorrow, Wednesday August 17, for the annual awards which showcase and celebrate our local charities, the voluntary sector and the people and companies that support them. The awards, headline sponsored by Brewin Dolphin and in association with VONNE and the Sir James Knott Trust, provide a fantastic opportunity to thank the organisations that do so much to help people in our region.
Finalists involved in the awards last year included Morrisons, 2 Way Tenancy Solutions CIC, Children North East, social enterprise Back on the Map and Beach Access North East who took home the award for Small Charity of the Year.

Jeffrey Ball, charity investment adviser at Brewin Dolphin and chair of the judging panel, said: “The charities that have been involved in previous years have found it both a great night out but hugely rewarding to have their work recognised by their peers. To be shortlisted is a true badge of honour that helps increase engagement with funders, donors and beneficiaries so we would definitely encourage any charities or companies to consider the categories available and put themselves forward. You never know what will happen.”
There will be 11 awards presented at the special awards dinner, taking place at The Fed in Gateshead on October 19. Nominate your charity champions now, and make sure they get the recognition they deserve.
