Filming of Call the Midwife delayed by Tom Cruise, says star

Tom Cruise has delayed the filming of BBC TV favourite Call the Midwife, according to star Jenny Agutter. Agutter plays Sister Julienne in the show which is filmed at Longcross Studios in Surrey.

She said a number of scenes of the drama set in the 1960s have had to be reshot because of Tom Cruise's helicopter, reports The Mirror.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two is also being filmed at Longcross. Cruise has a pilot’s licence and often flies in and out of the Surrey site.

Laughing Jenny, 69, said: “Tom Cruise keeps on ruining our filming by landing his helicopter right outside where we’re shooting.”

Asked if she planned to give Tom a telling-off, she added: “In my habit! Imagine. ‘Excuse me Tom, but look we’re trying to film. I don’t know about you, but just get your helicopter out of here quickly’!’”
