Film show: 'Priscilla', Sofia Coppola's intimate portrait of Elvis's wife

Based on Priscilla Presley's 1985 memoir "Elvis and Me", Sofia Coppola's biopic "Priscilla" tells the story of the woman who married one of the world's biggest stars, from their meeting on a US air base when she was just 14, to the birth of their daughter and eventual separation. FRANCE 24 film critic Lisa Nesselson says the movie invites us to consider Priscilla's perspective – and may leave you wondering whether Elvis was a perfect gentleman or a controlling jerk.

Speaking of biopics exploring high-profile couples, "Maestro" is about the marriage between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre, played by Carey Mulligan. The film is co-written and directed by Bradley Cooper, who also stars as the maestro himself.

Finally, we end with two new documentaries: Frederick Wiseman's "Menus-Plaisirs - Les Troisgros", a four-hour immersion into a Michelin-starred restaurant and the family behind it; and "Antarctica Calling" from Luc Jacquet, the man behind "March of the Penguins".
