In case you don't already know, it's a European summer. Flights to Paris, London and Greece are constantly selling out yet there's one country that's maintained a place at the top of our destination wishlist — Italy. For the past year, there's been a renewed interest in the region, even seeping into fashion with trends inspired by it that now dictate our closets, from linen dresses to oversize sunglasses. Brands have even joined in on the Italian fun, most recently Fila with its new Casa Fila collection.
As an ode to the brand's heritage, the capsule incorporates a refreshing approach to sportswear without compromising its ethos of style and performance. "Fila has an incredibly rich 113-year history in sport, and a key factor in that has been the brand's uncompromising focus on creating products and experiences for consumers that optimize performance and style," shares Fila Global Brand President Todd Klein. "We are now getting back to our DNA by sharpening our focus on what has made Fila so iconic through the years – timeless design, devotion to craft, and most importantly, products that make you play better."
The brand's latest offerings are also inspired by society's ever-growing obsession with tennis. It features apparel and footwear for men and women with an inclusive size range from XS to XXL. With a green, white, navy and red color palette, it succeeds at crafting pieces that are ideal for both on and off the court, from the iconic BB1 Polo to the Axilus Lux sneakers.
Fila is also launching its Bellissimo campaign that reimagines the traditional country club scene. "A clear celebration of our Italian heritage, Bellissimo is Fila's toast to living life to the fullest, in sport and in play," says Emily Maxey, SVP of Marketing. "Fila is at its best when we embrace the intersection of high performance and high style, and we wanted to highlight that in all aspects of this campaign."
