Fiji have thumped Papua New Guinea 43-16 in their Pacific Bowl rugby league clash in Port Moresby with winger Maika Sivo continuing his try-scoring spree.
Parramatta flyer Sivo bagged two tries among Fiji's haul of seven, while five-eighth Kurt Donoghoe also scored twice.
Halfback Brandon Wakeham was also in superb form with his boot, only missing one conversion and also adding a penalty goal and a field goal.
The Kumuls were first on the scoreboard through fullback Alex Johnston, who dotted down in the second minute but there was little else in the first half for their fans at Santos National Football Stadium to cheer about.
The Donoghoe double as well as a try to prop Tui Kamikamica pushed the Bati's lead out to 19-4 at the break as the visitors took advantage of some flimsy defence.
Sivo, who has now scored seven tries in his past five Tests, added a further two within two minutes early in the second half to put the game well and truly of reach for PNG.
Despite a 30-point deficit, the Kumuls showed their heart to stick at the task with centre Benji Kot rewarded in the 61st minute.
Their prop Epel Kapinias then added the last try of the match in the 72nd.
It was a big improvement for Fiji, who scraped home 22-18 in their last Bowl outing against the Cook Islands.
The Kumuls and Fiji will meet against next Sunday in Port Moresby in the final.
