Figure skater Spencer Lane, one of the victims in the tragic plane crash, shared a photo on his Instagram Stories just before the ill-fated flight. The image displayed the right wing of an airplane and was captioned with 'ICT -> DCA', indicating the planned route from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Prior to the crash, Lane and his mother had been in Wichita, Kansas, for the US Figure Skating Championships and National Development Camp. They were passengers on American Airlines Flight 5342, which tragically collided with a US Army helicopter and crashed into the Potomac River on Wednesday.
