Fight erupts between PILOTS in plane cockpit as cabin crew forced to split them up

Two p ilots have been suspended after getting into a brawl mid-flight in the cockpit.

The rowdy Air France 'professionals' reportedly exchanged blows after one refused to follow orders on a flight between Geneva to Paris.

Shortly after take-off, the pair had a disagreement which lead to one of the pilots slapping the other.

Reportedly, the pilots then grabbed each other by the collar, before it escalated further when one of them shockingly chucked their briefcase in the face of the other.

Flight attendants - who heard the commotion happening in the cabin - then stepped in to split them up, La Tribune reports.

A heroic member of the cabin crew was then forced to step in between the blazing row. He spent the rest of the flight baby-sitting the disgruntled pair to stop them kicking off again.

Speaking about the matter, a spokesperson for Air France described the behaviour as "totally inappropriate".

A spokesperson for the airline confirmed that there was a 'dispute' but said it ended quickly and did not affect the conduct or safety of the flight - which continued as normal.

They also said that during the incident - which happened on the Airbus A320 last June - saw an exchange of 'inappropriate gestures'.

Since, the pilots have been suspended while they are being investigated, according to a report by France's civil aviation safety investigation authority.

The Air France incident comes after the airline has seen increased scrutiny over the past few months regarding safety malpractices.

In fact, civil aviation safety investigators found the airline has violated safety procedures on several occasions.

This has included a flight in 2020 where it was found that the airplane's tank was horrifyingly short by 1.4 tonnes of fuel.

Air France responded to the report by promising to carry out a safety audit and to strengthen post-flight analysis.
