Fife Jobcentre locked down as police investigate bombscare

AN explosive disposal unit has been called after a suspicious package was reported at a Jobcentre in Fife.

Emergency services are in attendance at Foundry Street after a report was made at 12.15pm this afternoon and have cordoned off the area.

The army's Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit (EOD) have been contacted.

The Jobcentre in question has been evacuated, and Jobcentre Plus for North Scotland confirmed the location will be shut for the rest of the day.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a report of a suspicious package at a premises on Foundry Street in Dunfermline around 12.15pm on Friday, 28 October, 2022.

"A cordon is in place and EOD have been contacted."
