Neither England nor USA find a breakthrough, but the Three Lions remain top of Group B with one more critical game to come.

I'll leave you with a Socceroos long read
By Dean Bilton
That's all from the blog for another morning, but on the way out I'll leave you something to enjoy over your Saturday morning coffee.
Samantha Lewis is in Qatar for us and has been doing some digging into how the Socceroos are mentally prepared to do the "bouncing back" they keep talking about.
Enjoy that piece below, and be sure to head back here tonight for our Socceroos-Tunisia blog. We'll see you then!
Guess who's coming up next...
By Dean Bilton
That's right, our Socceroos are the next team in action at the 2022 World Cup as they play Tunisia in an attempt to keep their campaign alive.
That game will kick off at 9:00pm AEDT, which is absolute LUXURY for all of us here in Australia. A cushy kick off time in a crucial World Cup match on a Saturday night? Absolutely no excuse to miss this one.
Harry Kane gives his analysis
By Dean Bilton
"Wasn't our best performance for sure. Just didn't quite have the right stuff in the final third, but it's a good clean sheet and puts us in a good position in the group.
"Overall we played a tough team and we move on. They pressed really well, we knew they would make it difficult for us. At times we dealt with it well, but a draw isn't the end of the world for us.
"We know we can play better than that, but no game is easy in a World Cup. After our first game people thought we'd landslide every team we face, but it doesn't work like that."
A point, a clean sheet, but work to do for England

FT: England 0-0 USA
By Dean Bilton
Stalemate, but one that will mean different things for either team.
England were desperately poor tonight, saved only by the USA's lack of cutting edge and a bit of good fortune. They'll now play Wales needing a result to ensure qualification through to the next round.
The US on the other hand were pretty impressive, certainly the more progressive and assertive of the two sides. On other day, with a bit more ruthlessness in front of goal, this could have been a famous victory.
A couple more changes for USMNT
By Dean Bilton
83': England 0-0 USA
Tim Weah and Haji Wright off for Gio Reyna and Josh Sargent.
Attack freshened up for the Americans as the hunt for a winner goes on.
Fifteen minutes to play
By Dean Bilton
75': England 0-0 USA
We remain deadlocked. England have started to wrestle some possession and control back, but are yet to look any more threatening.
Have the USA fired their best shot? We've got 15 minutes to find a winner.
Meanwhile, we have some more subs. The fantastic Weston McKennie is coming off (injured? Weird if not) for Leeds United man Brenden Aaronson while Sergino Dest comes off for Shaq Moore.
Marcus Rashford is coming on for England in place of Bukayo Saka. Phil Foden must have a knock or something, otherwise I have no clue why he is not on this pitch right now.
The England subs have arrived

68': England 0-0 USA
And not a moment too soon.
Jack Grealish and Jordan Henderson are coming on for Raheem Sterling and Jude Bellingham.
Some spice in attack and some steel in midfield, where Weston McKennie has been dominant for the US. Surprised we're yet to see Phil Foden, and even more surprised it's Bellingham who has come off.
USA dominant at the moment
By Dean Bilton
64': England 0-0 USA
The Americans have all the ball and all the field position, and are racking up corners at ease. And yet they are still yet to seriously challenge Jordan Pickford in goal.
The English are nowhere near it right now.
Just not happening for England
By Dean Bilton
55': England 0-0 USA
Changes required here. Phil Foden and Jack Grealish the obvious candidates. You wouldn't think Southgate would want to wait much longer, it's all so toothless in the final third.
McKennie blasts one over
By Dean Bilton
48': England 0-0 USA
Another threatening USA counter-attack, and again it's led by Christian Pulisic. Haji Wright took the first shot, which was blocked, but Weston McKennie had ample time to line one up from outside the area. The shot lacked control, and Pickford watched it sail harmlessly over his head.
The second half is underway
By Dean Bilton
No changes at the break, but you would thing Gareth Southgate won't wait too long if the game carries on as it did in the first half.
Protests, boos and tears as Iran's journey continues
By Dean Bilton
Iran's memorable win over Wales came after some remarkable scenes during the national anthems as Iranian players sang, seemingly reluctantly. That was met by whistles and boos from many in the crowd, while other fans were pictured in tears.
There were protests and clashes outside the stadium, and some flags inside it were confiscated by security.

HT: England 0-0 USA
By Dean Bilton
On the whole, that would be an incredibly concerning half of football for England and a massively encouraging one for the USA.
England's search for control of the game basically rendered them toothless, and their ponderous approach was quickly seized upon by a US team that proved far more aggressive. All the best chances fell the way of the Americans, but their disappointment will come from the fact none really worked the goalkeeper at all.
There were some late signs of life for England before the break, and they have plenty of options on the bench that can change this game, but there is clearly work for Gareth Southgate to do.
Mason Mount is denied
By Dean Bilton
46': England 0-0 USA
Better from England! Some forward passes and players getting between the lines. Mount took his shot first time from the edge of the area, and Turner had to get down quickly low to his right.
A corner to end the half... comes to nothing.
Bukayo Saka spoons one over
By Dean Bilton
45': England 0-0 USA
Sudden burst of life for England as Luke Shaw gets himself to the byline and cuts one back. Saka was in the right place, but his snap shot was miles away from troubling Turner.
Only one minute of stoppage time, which underlines the lack of event in the first half.
Another chance for Christian Pulisic
By Dean Bilton
42': England 0-0 USA
A good cross but absolutely no conviction on the header from the Chelsea man. In fact it may well have come off his shoulder instead.
For all of the US's good play - and they have been comfortably the better team - Jordan Pickford hasn't yet had a save to make.
Sergino Dest goes on a mazy run
By Dean Bilton
41': England 0-0 USA
Still all USA right now. Dest puts his head down and drives at the English box, twisting and turning and putting Maguire off balance. His shot is deflected behind for a corner, which is easily cleared
