The group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup is done and dusted and from tomorrow, teams will be playing to keep their World Cup dreams alive.
Some huge teams have already been dumped out and will play no role in the latter stages of the tournament. Uruguay and Germany were knocked out in heartbreaking fashion, while Belgium never got going and limped to a tame exit.
Minnows Japan and Morocco have defied the odds to make it to the next phase, while Australia shocked everyone by getting out of a group involving France and Denmark.

The group stage has been one of the most open and entertaining in World Cup history. 16 teams are left in the competition, and all will harbour goals of lifting the most coveted prize in World football.
