FIFA Women's World Cup 2023: Nike kits ranked as Lionesses and USA shirts released

With the Women's World Cup now just over a month away we're getting to see more of the kits that are going to be on display at the tournament.

Nike have released a haul of kits that all capture the unique style and DNA of the participating nations. This list features the best kits on offer so far with some eye-catching and stand-out efforts from the likes of Brazil and Nigeria.

England, despite being rocked by several injuries, are one of the tournament favourites thanks to their heroics at the European Championships last year and their two kits make this list along with four time champions, USA who have opted for a very different design indeed.

Here's a look at the kits that have been released so far...

England

The Three Lions unveiled their new kit some months ago but it only became available to buy this week. The home effort is very much in-keeping with England of old, it's all white with the classic navy detail on the neck and cuffs, but it's the away shirt that really captures the eye with its retro pattern that invokes some of England's iconic past.

You can buy the home and away shirt here.

New Zealand

The co-hosts have one of the tournament's most sleek shirts. Nike said their designers "drew inspiration from the silver fern—long a symbol of strength, power and national identity" and the result is a cool, subtle yet statement making offering.

USA

This kit is one of the big swings of the tournament. The USA are the Women's games major player and this shirt screams power and confidence.

Fusing the white with an eclectic paint splatter design but the best feature of this shirt is the gold detail that brings the Nike logo, and the four stars that line the badge, to life. The kit isn't available to buy just yet but you can be notified of its impending release here.

Nigeria

This away kit for the NIgerian national team is one of the best kits of the tournament with its unique colourway and striking pattern. Nike have said that the "stair-inspired graphic pattern represents the team's rise on the global stage while hidden details commemorate their nickname". You can buy this shirt here

Brazil

It's another away kit that gets a vote for one of the World Cup's best tops. This time it's the Brazilian effort with a major summer vibe that's caught our eye. The green floral pattern, that represents the Amazon Rainforest, that decorates the sleeves really gives the shirt a kick.

However, the green detail on the Nike logo and badge contrasts beautifully with the deep blue making it one of our favourites of the tournament. You can buy the Brazil away kit here.

Norway

Norway's shirt for the competition is as simple as they come. A slip of navy on the neck and cuffs flanking a sea of bold red. It might not be the most thrilling, or stylish, on offer this summer but the no-nonsense approach makes for an interesting contrast to some of the other shirts which feature quirky patterning.

Although one novelty it does have is that hidden on the inside is "Sterkere Sammen", which translates to Stronger Together. You can get the Norway home shirt here.

France

Les Bleues have opted for a classic powder blue strip yet the details on this are pretty eye-catching. The sketched out tricolour pattern on the cuffs and the pinstripe like design that flows through the top is something that elevates the top from some others that contain a block of colour.

Similar to the Norway kit, this also features a hidden scripture inside the shirt. You can buy the French home shirt here.

Netherlands

The Dutch orange is arguably the most striking colour in all of world football and as a nation they rarely deviate from it, and why would you? Not only does it catch the eye right away but stripping all other colours out of this except for the Nike logo and badge really gives it a strong and energetic look.
