FIFA to investigate Salt Bae Lionel Messi antics amid broken World Cup rules and Infantino video

Investigations will be had as to how world famous chef Salt Bae - real name Nusret Gokce - was allowed onto the pitch after the World Cup final. The Turkish man was seen holding the trophy and also badgering Lionel Messi for a photo during the Argentine celebrations.

Salt Bae's appearance was met with plenty of anger and backlash from football fans watching on and has already garnered the attention of the US Open Cup, America's oldest football competition. The official account tweeted after images of the chef went viral on Sunday, writing: "Salt Bae is hereby banned from the 2023 Open Cup Final."

The 37-year-old has has become an internet sensation for his steak preparation methods, becoming an internet meme in 2017. He was included on a list of A-list celebreties attending the final in Lusail though, alongside Elon Musk.

He may regret his moves though. According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol FIFA are set to have an internal investigation into how he was allowed to gatecrash the post-match celebrations and ceremony. It is said that he has no commercial relationship with the footballing organisation and wasn't invited onto the pitch by its president, Gianni Infantino. Staff that allowed him to enter onto the pitch will also be punished. Images of Infantino sitting with Salt Bae as he is served the chef's famous steak have since emerged though.

Salt Bae wasn't the only person that caused upset for watchers though, as Infantino himself frustrated those wishing to see Messi's emotions play out naturally after the biggest victory of his life. The FIFA's head was involved in several lengthy chats with Messi, who looked like he was ready to shake him off to go and pick up the trophy regardless.

Meanwhile, French president Emmanuel Macron was also on the act, consoling Kylian Mbappe despite the Paris Saint-Germain star appearing less than interested in any of the words being spoken to him, hardly laying as much as an eye on the political figure.
