FIFA 23 World Cup Stories confirmed release date, leaks and everything we know

Another week of FIFA 23 World Cup-themed promo content is almost upon us, with the World Cup Stories promo set to be released this week.

The 2022 World Cup is well underway, with over half of the tournament's fixtures having already been played as the Group Stages near its end. During the World Cup, EA Sports made the decision to scrap any FIFA 23 TOTW squad releases in FUT due to no domestic football being played, but FUT players haven't been short of content in-game.

EA Sports has already treated FIFA 23 players to an obscene amount of World Cup content in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team so far, with a Path to Glory promo, A Road to the World Cup promo, World Cup Swaps, World Cup Icons, World Cup Heroes and much more having been released. And, a new promo is set to drop in Ultimate Team this week, named World Cup Stories.

So, what could the promo include? Here is everything we know about the World Cup Stories promo including the confirmed release date, leaks and more.

FIFA 23 World Cup Stories release date

The release date for the World Cup Stories promo was confirmed by EA Sports via a FIFA 23 Ultimate Team loading screen. The loading screen features a countdown timer at the bottom of the screen, showing that the promo will be released on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT.

FIFA 23 World Cup Stories - What we know

Apart from the release date and card design, Only minor details have been confirmed by EA Sports about the World Cup Stories promo. In their World Cup press release, EA Sports announced "As the knockout stages begin, EA will celebrate the most impactful moments in the World Cup so far, celebrating key moments from qualification that captivated the world."

With the Promo being named World Cup Stories, it seems that the promo could be celebrating the best players/moment from the World Cup group stages, with the group stages officially concluding on the same night the promo is released. EA Sports followed with "Once the quarter-finals arrive, FIFA fans will be greeted by a new class of World Cup FUT Phenoms, uplifting the performances of some of football’s brightest stars."
