FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, Web App and all online modes down – here's when they're back online

FIFA 23 is currently undergoing maintenance, with Ultimate Team and all other online services currently down for all players.

EA Sports confirmed in the early hours of the morning that planned maintenance would be taking place in FIFA 23 today, with the in-game updates set to end at 12pm GMT / 8am ET / 5am PT. Titles including FIFA 22, and all the way through to FIFA 18, are also undergoing maintenance, with the EA servers completely down, meaning all online modes are unavailable.

The downtime is set to be a total of 7 hours and will impact FIFA 23 users on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X |S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. In other words, no one can access any online mode on FIFA 23, whether you're trying to access Ultimate Team, Seasons or Pro Clubs.

The FIFA 23 Web App and Companion App are also down, so players are currently unable to access Ultimate Team on other devices either. FIFA 23 went down for maintenance last month as well, though problems saw the planned downtime extended to 10 hours

The FIFA 23 maintenance started at 5:30am GMT / 1am ET / 10pm PT and was originally scheduled to end at 12pm GMT / 8am ET / 5am PT. It appears that all online game modes, including Ultimate Team, are unable to be accessed at the moment, with all services hopefully resuming when they say, which hasn't been the case in the past.

The tweet released by EA early this morning stated: "We have a scheduled maintenance on Feb 22. During this time, you may be disconnected or unable to access online services. FIFA 23, 5:30 AM UTC to noon. FIFA 21/22, 7:00 AM to 2 PM. FIFA 20/19/18, 7:0 AM to noon. Match creation will be disabled 30 min prior to each maintenance."

Not only is FIFA 23 down, but so are online services on FIFA 22 all the way back to FIFA 18. The maintenance scheduled for FIFA 22 and FIFA 21 start and end slightly later than FIFA 23, whilst maintenance on FIFA 20, FIFA 19 and FIFA 18 is slightly shorter, lasting just five hours.

EA always seems to pick a bad day for maintenance, with some FUT players left unhappy by the chosen time due to the clash with the FUT Division Rivals schedule. Today is the last day players can play Division Rivals before the weekly FUT Division Rivals rewards are released tomorrow morning, so if you haven't made much progress over the last week, and could only get onto FUT 23 this morning, expect some underwhelming rewards!

The latest maintenance comes just a day after the latest Title Update was released into FIFA 23, Title Update 8. The latest update had minimal changes that included referees no longer clashing with the players' kit colour, but fans weren't impressed that EA failed to comment on the latest PC hack that makes the user's team invisible to the opponent in-game.

We'll be able to dig into the finer details a bit more once the game is back up and running in a couple of hours.
