FIFA 23 simulated Brighton vs Nottingham Forest to get a score prediction

Nottingham Forest will be looking to turn their fortunes around when the Reds face a trip to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Forest have now gone eight games without a win in the Premier League, with Steve Cooper's side unable to build on their 1-1 draw against Aston Villa - losing 1-0 to Wolves last weekend. Brennan Johnson missed a penalty in the defeat at Molineux, but there's no time to dwell, with a trip to Brighton falling just three days after the defeat.

Leicester picking up a point against Crystal Palace meant Forest moved back to the bottom of the league table, whilstBrighton currently sit seventh in the table, despite losing their last two games. Questions remain unanswered over the fitness of Serge Aurier, Renan Lodi and Lewis O’Brien ahead of the Brighton clash, with Moussa Niakhate, Omar Richards and Jack Colback guaranteed absentees.

So, could Forest find their first win since the second week of the season? We simulated the game to try and find out. To run this simulation, we used FIFA 23, updating the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest score predicted by simulation

We predict that the hosts could line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with the lineup looking as follows: Sanchez; Veltman, Dunk, Webster; Lamptey, Mac Allister, Caicedo, Estupinan; Trossard, Lallana; Welbeck.

We predict that Nottingham Forest will line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with the lineup looking as follows: Henderson; Williams, Cook, McKenna, Toffolo; Freuler, Yates, Mangala; Johnson, Awoniyi, Gibbs-White.

Forest produced a promising display in the first half, with Taiwo Awoniyi, Morgan Gibbs-White and Steve Cook all coming close. Neither team could open the scoring in the first half, but Forest were able to break the deadlock in the 64th minute through Awoniyi.

Neco Williams' corner into the box was sent towards the front post, and Awoniyi - sandwiched in between two defenders - leaped highest to head the corner towards the top corner, evading the 'keeper the man on the line. Cooper's side found most of their opportunities from set pieces, with Brighton struggling to maintain the Reds in the air.

But, despite having the better chances, Forest did concede the equaliser just minutes after scoring when substitute Dennis Undav tapped a low cross through the legs of Dean Henderson from close range. It was a frustrating goal to concede from Forest's point of view, but they pushed on to try and find a winner, with Robert Sanchez somehow managing to keep the score level for Brighton.

A flurry of late chances saw Forest have six shots on target in the final nine minutes, with five of them from consecutive corners. The best of his saves came when a deep free-kick into the box was flicked on by Johnson, but the Spanish 'keeper managed to tip the ball over the bar whilst backpedalling towards his own goal.

Emmanuel Dennis and Jesse Lingard were denied winning goals off the bench as Sanchez continued to impress, and Forest were unable to find the winner, leaving the Amex with a point.

FIFA 23 predicts that Forest could earn a 1-1 draw against Brighton, with Cooper's side unlucky not to be leaving the south coast with three points. The Reds looked extremely dangerous from set-pieces in the simulation, with Sanchez producing a MOTM display in goal for the hosts.
