FIFA 23 Path to Glory leaks, expected FUT content and confirmed promo start date

EA Sports has confirmed that the Path to Glory FIFA 23 Ultimate Team event will launch today, with World Cup content expected to feature.

Following the launch of the 2022 World Cup mode in FIFA 23 on Wednesday, EA Sports has also confirmed that a new promo event called Path to Glory will launch in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team on Friday, November 11 at 6pm GMT. The FUT 23 event was confirmed via a new loading screen than now appears when entering the Ultimate Team game mode on FIFA 23, showcasing the promo name, FUT card design and confirming the start date of the event.

As with every FUT promo, several high-profile leakers are already releasing information about how the promo will work and some of the players who could feature. But, with just a few hours until the promo's release, leakers have revealed the players involved, the rewards for the World Cup swaps event and more.

Here are the latest FIFA 23 Path to Glory leaks, confirmed contentand more.

FIFA 23 Path to Glory confirmed content

FIFA Ultimate Team players might think that Path to Glory sounds familiar, and they'd be right. There was a Path to Glory team released as part of the Festival of FUTball promo back in FUT 21 which ran alongside the UEFA Euro 2020 and Copa America tournaments in the summer of 2021.

The promo featured special FUT items which upgraded if the players' national team achieved a certain amount of wins. Back in this promo, three wins gave a plus two upgrade, 4 wins gave another plus one upgrade, 5 wins gave an additional plus one upgrade and 6 wins gave the item a five-star skill moves and five-star weak foot upgrade.

And, we will see something very similar for the FIFA 23 Path to Glory promo, with the promo expected to run for around two weeks, with upgraded, live player items released tomorrow ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

FIFA 23 Path to Glory players will receive a +1 in-form upgrade if they qualify out of the Group Stage, a +1 upgrade if they win the Round of 16, a five-star weak foot upgrade if they win the quarter-finals, a five-star skill move upgrade if they win the semi-finals, and a final +1 upgrade and three new traits if they win the World Cup.

How Path to Glory players will upgrade on FIFA 23 Ultimate Team (EA SPORTS FIFA)

If a player already has five-star skill moves and five-star weak foot when they reach the semi-finals, they will receive an extra +1 in-form upgrade instead. We can also expect World Cup player items such as World Cup Heroes, World Cup Icons and World Cup stars as part of this promo.

FIFA 23 World Cup Stars player leaks

Certain players set to receive a World Cup Star player item in FUT 23 have reportedly been 'leaked' on social media, with @FutSheriff and @Criminal__x revealing the players involved on Twitter. World Cup Stars will be permanently upgraded player items and are not live, so their rating won't upgrade.

If you don't want to see who's included in the upcoming promo, look away now.

FIFA 23 World Cup Swaps content and leaked rewards

For the first time in FIFA 23, the upcoming World Cup promo will be receiving a Swaps program. Swaps were introduced to Ultimate Team in FIFA 22, giving players the chance complete Squad Building Challenges, Objectives and more tokens that can be exchanged for boosted rewards.

A World Cup themed swaps event will be coming to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team (EA SPORTS FIFA)

But, the World Cup Swaps event seems to have slightly different requirements to how it worked in FIFA 22. Every player going to the 2022 FIFA World Cup will receive a World Cup player item, and these must be used to earn your World Cup Swaps tokens. You can then redeem your tokens to earn rewards such as World Cup Stars, Packs and Player Picks.

The FIFA 23 World Cup Swaps event will begin in Ultimate Team on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 6pm GMT. The rewards will be released at a later date, usually with a few days of the promo remaining if based on FIFA 22.
