FIFA 23: How to do Cristiano Ronaldo celebration in-game following update

You can now do Cristiano Ronaldo's new trademark celebration in FIFA 23, and it's extremely easy to do so.

In early November, Ronaldo netted his first Premier League goal of the 2022/23 season for Manchester United, scoring just before half-time in a 2-1 win over Everton. As the striker wheeled away in celebration, everyone was expecting to see the iconic 'siu' celebration, but instead, Ronaldo unveiled a brand-new, and just as iconic, celebration.

The 38-year-old put his hands together at his chest, closed his eyes and looked up to the sky, a much calmer celebration than what we're used to. But, the new gesture became an instant hit in the footballing world, with players everywhere copying the Portugal captain when scoring.

Now playing in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, Ronaldo has continued to celebrate this way, and after FIFA 23's latest Title Update, EA Sports has finally added the celebration into the game. Along with nine others, the CR7 celebration is one that we can expect to see the most in FIFA 23 over the next few months.

So, how do you do the new Ronaldo celebration in FIFA 23?

How to do Cristiano Ronaldo's new celebration in FIFA 23

If you want to use Ronaldo's celebration in FIFA 23, it can only be done using Ronaldo, unlike his 'Siu' celebration which can be used by anyone. This can be used in any game mode using the 38-year-old, including Ultimate Team.

As it's a signature celebration, all you need to do to use it is hold X on PS4 and PS5, or hold down A on Xbox One and Xbox Series X |S after you score. So, next time you find the net with Ronaldo, don't forget to use his new signature move!

With the addition of his new celebration, being labelled as the 'nap' by some people in the FUT Community, Ronaldo now has two signature celebrations in FIFA 23, so you'll either get the 'nap' or the 'siu' animation when celebrating. Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe both seem to also have new signature celebrations, but we are unsure about the others added.

Title Update 9 had some other big updates for FIFA 23, including the addition of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL), though a few NWSL players have taken to social media to call out EA for their in-game appearance. There were also big gameplay updates in TU9, including a boost to explosive AcceleRATE players, interceptions becoming more overpowered than ever and accuracy being increased on driven passes.
