The FIFA 23 Companion App is set to be released today, allowing FIFA players limited access to Ultimate Team via mobile devices.
EA Sports have confirmed that the FIFA 23 FUT Companion App, the mobile version of the FUT 23 Web app, will launch today (Thursday, September 22, 2022), a day after the launch of the Web App. The release date for the FUT Companion App was announced in a post on the official EA Sports forums earlier this month.
The FUT Companion App allows FIFA Players to access the Ultimate Team game mode through any mobile device that is connected to wifi or a 3G/4G/5G connection, with the app available on both Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store for Android. Like the Web App, players who access the Companion App can use the FUT 23 transfer market to buy and sell players and consumables, manage your FUT 23 squad, buy packs, complete SBCs and more.
The FIFA 23 FUT Web App was launched yesterday, allowing players their first chance to access FIFA 23. The FIFA 23 FUT Companion App will go live on Thursday, September 22, 2022, and the time of launch is expected to be around 18:00 BST, 10:00 PT and 13:00 ET.
You won't need to install a new app if you already have the FUT 22 Companion App on your mobile device. All you will need to do is update your current Companion App when the update goes live, and you will be able to access FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. But, some players may not be granted access to the FIFA 23 FUT Companion App, depending on their FUT 22 account history. To be eligible to enter the FUT 23 Companion App, you must be a returning FIFA 22 player and have logged into FUT 22 before August 1, 2022.
The FUT 22 account must still exist, if you have deleted your club, you won't be allowed access. And, players' accounts must be in good standing, if you were banned or had action taken on your account in FUT 22, you may not be granted access to the FUT 23 Companion App.
Returning players will also receive rewards when they log on to the FUT Companion App for the first time, but if you have already logged onto the FUT 23 Web App and claimed rewards, there won't be any waiting for you in the Companion App. The rewards are given based on your account's good standing in the game, along with your player history, engagement and account status.
FIFA 23 will be released on Friday, September 30, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 or are subscribed to EA Play will be given early access to the game, allowing players access to the game on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
