The FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT Team 1 and Fantasy FUT Heroes Team 1 are now available in Ultimate Team, with some incredible players included.
After making its debut in FIFA 22, The Fantasy FUT promo has returned for FIFA 23, and at first glance, this could be one of the best promos in Ultimate Team this year. Not only is the Fantasy FUT Team 1 squad loaded with great players that can become even better, but EA has included FUT Heroes in a promo for the first time in FIFA 23, with eight Fantasy FUT Heroes being released.
The Fantasy FUT promo consists of live player items that can upgrade based on individual and team performances over the next few weeks. There are four possible ways for Fantasy FUT players to upgrade, whilst there are two ways for Fantasy FUT Heroes to improve.
The Fantasy FUT Heroes will improve based on the performances of a team they played for during their career, with the likes of David Ginola included in the promo who will rely on Newcastle United to be upgraded. The FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT Team 1 and Fantasy FUT Heroes Team 1 squads are now live in Ultimate Team packs and will be available until Friday, March 10 at 5.59pm GMT/ 12.59pm ET/ 9.59am PT.

FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT upgrade system
FIFA 23 will have a new and improved upgrade system for Fantasy FUT. There are four upgrade opportunities as well as the ability to earn three new traits.
These are the four ways that Fantasy FUT players can upgrade in FIFA 23, starting from Friday, March 17, after each player has been released.
- +1 Upgrade: One win in the next six domestic league games
- +1 Upgrade: Three appearances in the next six domestic league games
- +1 Upgrade: Two goals or assists (Attackers/Midfielders) or two clean sheets (Defenders/Goalkeepers) in the next six domestic league games
- +1 Upgrade and three new traits: Avoid defeat in the next six domestic league games
Fantasy FUT Heroes will receive smaller upgrades, with the Heroes only eligible for two of the four possible upgrades due to them not being able to make appearances or be involved in goals or clean sheets.
