FIFA 23 EA Play trial instructions for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC

As excitement builds for the worldwide release of FIFA 23, EA Play members will soon be able to redeem a 10-hour early access trial.

FIFA 23 will be released worldwide and in the UK on Friday, September 30, 2022, but players who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game, or are subscribers to EA Play, can access the game from Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

EA Play members can access a 10-hour early access trial of FIFA 23, but you could get more rewards depending on your subscription. EA Play is a subscription service that allows players who sign-up to gain exclusive benefits for EA-published games whilst also getting a 10% discount on all EA digital purchases

The EA Play subscription service costs £3.99 per month (or £19.99 annually) for Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. There's also a more expensive subscription service, EA Play Pro, costing £14.99 per month (or £89.99 annually) which provides unlimited access to FIFA 23 and includes more rewards such as 4800 FIFA points on sign-up and 1600 FIFA Points per month for three months.

Anyone who subscribes to the EA Play service can access the 10-hour trial for FIFA 23, but only players with EA Play Pro can access further hours. Here's how to access your 10-hour trial for FIFA 23.

How to get a FIFA 23 10-hour early access trial with EA Play

To access your 10-hour FIFA 22 EA Play early access trial ahead of the official release date on Tuesday, September 27 or Friday, September 30, depending on which version of the game you pre-ordered, follow the instructions below:

  1. Subscribe to EA Play (£3.99 per month or £19.99 annually)

  2. Download your FIFA 23 EA Play trial on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PC

  3. Add the PS5, PC or Xbox Series X/S version, or PS4, Xbox One version of FIFA 23 to your game library

  4. Launch the 10-hour trial from Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Unfortunately for EA Play subscribers, you will only be able to access your 10-hour trial only three days prior to the worldwide release, much worse than the 10 days early access that was granted prior to the launch of FIFA 22. This is the same amount of time as players who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23.

And remember, if you do decide to use EA Play to get 10 hours early access to FIFA 22, you will still have to purchase an edition of FIFA 22 to play the game after your 10-hour trials have expired. Also, make sure to manually quit the trial when you have finished a playing session, as the trial may continue in the background and use up hours of your trial.

FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
