The FIFA 22 TOTY release date has been confirmed by EA Sports after the fan vote period officially ended.
EA Sports' FIFA 22 TOTY fan vote ended on Tuesday, January 18 2022 at 7:59 am GMT, having first opened on Monday, January 10 2022 at 16:00 pm GMT, with fans able to vote for a TOTY from 80 TOTY nominees including Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski and many more.
But EA did state in the terms and conditions notice that "The final Team of the Year selection will be determined by community votes with possible input from EA", so the fan vote may not hold 100% weight on the final FIFA 22 TOTY selection.

Following the conclusion of the FIFA 22 TOTY fan vote, the official EA Sports FIFA website has now been updated. The website that was live for fan voting now has a single line of text on it, which reveals the release date for the Ultimate TOTY.
The sentence reads "Powered by your voice, see who made the Team of the Year on January 20", which confirms that the release date for the FIFA 22 TOTY is Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 15:30 pm BST.
When the Ultimate TOTY is released, the players are normally released in position order, with the attackers entering FUT 22 first, followed by the midfielders and defenders - all given two days each in packs. But, it remains to be seen if this format will be followed again for FIFA 22.
