The FIFA 22 Team of the Year player items for Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski are now in packs, EA Sports has confirmed.

The three stars were confirmed as being included in the FIFA 22 TOTY Final XI when it was revealed on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 15:30 PM GMT, following the conclusion of a TOTY fan vote. Paris Saint-Germain forward Messi and Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski were both revealed to have overall ratings of 98 in the FIFA 22 TOTY FUT player items, whilst PSG forward Mbappe was given a rating of 97.

The Frenchman was named in the FIFA 22 TOTY Final XI ahead of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Karim Benzema, but those three stars could still be given an upgraded TOTY FUT player item, should they be named as a FIFA 22 TOTY 12th man candidates, with leaks suggesting that those three players will be the subject of a 12th man vote very soon.
