Fiancé of broadcaster Vanessa Feltz admits he cheated on her

The fiancé of broadcaster Vanessa Feltz has admitted he’s a love cheat.

In an explosive interview, Ben Ofoedu confessed to sleeping with an older woman in Ibiza. He also admitted a secret sexting relationship with a fan of his band Phats and Small – and he further betrayed Vanessa by getting flirty with a woman at a Butlin’s camp.

The revelations come days after it emerged she had dumped her partner of 16 years. Singer Ben had sex with an older woman three times while gigging in Ibiza. He said distraught Vanessa, 60, later discovered the betrayal, which the couple kept secret for eight years, until this week.

Ashamed Ben, 50, said: “I’ve broken her trust. She gave me another chance. I’ve destroyed that.”

On Christmas Day, the This Morning agony aunt found Ben had been sexting a younger female fan who sent him naked pics on Instagram. And we can reveal another woman contacted to say he said something sexually suggestive at a Butlin’s gig in December.

It was the last straw for mum-of-two Vanessa – whose ex husband Michael Krurer cheated on her – and she told Ben to leave their £3.5million north London home. The pair began dating in 2005 and were engaged the following year. Ben admitted things soured after Vanessa discovered he’d cheated.

Detailing the dalliance in Ibiza in 2015, Ben said: “I met her on the gig scene. She was the same age as Vanessa, possibly older. She took a shine to me, said lots of nice things.”

Ben put a stop to it but his jilted lover contacted Vanessa eight months later. Ben said: “I moved out for a little while. I knew how hurt she was. I felt absolutely terrible.” Then last spring he struck up a friendship with a fan over social media, which eventually led to sexting and nude pictures.

After nine months of messaging, Vanessa caught sight of them on his phone on Christmas Day. Ben said: “I can’t justify it. I was ashamed. Someone who didn’t matter took down everything we’d built.”

Around the same time, someone from one of his Butlin’s gigs messaged Vanessa to saying he’d been flirting.

He said: “I can’t recall it. I knew I was innocent but it didn’t go down well.”
