Now the big 6.2 update has been around for a while, it’s time to get as many people as possible into the game. With an MMORPG that’s been around as long as Final Fantasy XIV, there are bound to be loads of players who have fallen out of the loop and don’t play very often anymore. If you happen to know a few people like that, then you’re in luck, as FF14 has just started a new Callback Campaign which runs until September 30.
In short, this is a campaign where you can get great in-game rewards if you invite your offline friends to return to the game and renew their subscriptions. There are some strict requirements, but the rewards are worth it. We’ll tell you what the rewards are, and how you can get your hands on them.

Final Fantasy XIV Callback Campaign requirements
You can’t just invite anyone for them to claim the rewards. If you go into your friends list or Free Company roster, you’ll be able to select a player’s name and click the “Invite Friend to Return” button. This will send them an email with your name on it, telling them to come back into the game, but only if they meet the following criteria:
- The player has been inactive for 90 days or more.
- The player has purchased and registered FFXIV to their account (free trials don’t count).
You can only invite five friends, and if you invite someone who doesn’t meet the requirements, you’ll have wasted one of your invites, so make sure you’re sending it to the right people.
Final Fantasy XIV Callback Campaign rewards
If a friend you’ve invited decides to come back to the game, you won’t be able to claim your rewards just yet. The final step requires the player you’ve invited to purchase a subscription, which must be done within 90 days of them accepting your invitation. If everything goes smoothly, then you’ll eventually get your reward of five Gold Chocobo Feathers. You can trade these to the Calamity Salvager for rare and unique items.
There’s something in it for the person who accepted your invitation too, as they’ll get the following rewards:
- 14 days of free play.
- 99 Aetheryte Tickets.
- 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers.
Silver Feathers can also be traded to the Calamity Salvager in exchange for high-level equipment. You can find these NPCs at Limsa Lominsa, Old Gridaia, and Ul’dah.
