The annual Festival Lough Erne will return to Co Fermanagh this September as the local council and businesses aim to keep tourists flowing to the county following a strong summer season.
It’s the seventh time the festival will run at locations across the Fermanagh Lakelands, and is due to take place between 10 and 18 September.
The programme of events will include wellbeing events, lough shore walks, heritage events and food and beverage experiences.

The Enniskillen gift card is to return, with people able to buy a £50 food and drink voucher for local hospitality businesses for a reduced price of £35.
Speaking at the launch of Festival Lough Erne 2022, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Barry McElduff, said the event showcases all that is great and good about the county.
“As Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, I am delighted that Festival Lough Erne will be returning and running for one week this year,” Cllr McElduff said.
“The Festival showcases much that is exciting and appealing about County Fermanagh. The unique and natural environment of the county with beautiful landscapes and the natural waterways, as well as, the abundance of local produce and heritage in our District.”
Enniskillen BID is sponsoring the event this year, and manager Noelle McAloon said the festival is a way of keeping the summer season going.
“The whole idea is to try and extend the season. We have tourists coming here from March time and we want to encourage them to come here right through the year.
“We welcome and applaud this initiative from the council. We’ve so much now for people to do when they come here so we’re just trying to get them to come all year round.”
