Festival highlights the fruits of Chanthaburi

Outstanding fruit products from Chanthaburi are highlighted at a roadshow at five selected Central shopping centres in Bangkok and its vicinity, from Thursday until May 11.

The "Chanthaburi Fruit Festival To The City" will bring premium grade fresh fruits straight from farms, as well as processed products direct from local entrepreneurs to CentralWorld (Hug Thai zone, 1st floor), CentralPlaza Lardprao (4th floor), Central Bangna (1st floor), Central Westgate (1st floor), and Central Rama II (ground floor).

This is a perfect time to get the best taste of mangosteen, salak, rambutan and varieties of fresh durian at reasonable prices without middlemen.

Among the processed fruits will be crispy durian, crispy jackfruit, santol in syrup, salak in syrup, salak jam, mangosteen jam, durian crackers, mangosteen crackers, mangosteen cheese, mangosteen cookies, mangosteen juice, malva nut juice and calamansi juice.

The weeklong event is aimed to support farmers and SMEs who are experiencing oversupply due to the Covid-19 situation, which has brought difficulties in exporting these products.

It will be an extra channel to distribute their products, generate income and push for the cross-regional promotion of popular products of this eastern province which is reputed as the centre of Thailand's premium quality fruits.
