Ferrari Employees Can Buy a Fiat Panda with Their Fat Bonus

Ferrari had record sales last year after shipping 13,752 vehicles, or 0.7% over 2023. More importantly, net revenue jumped 11.8% to €6.7 billion. The Prancing Horse is paying back the people who made it all possible. Italian employees are getting fat bonuses as a reward for a record-breaking 2024. During a meeting with Italian journalists, Maranello's head honcho revealed that 5,000 Italian workers would receive a sizeable competitiveness bonus.

Italian press agency ANSA quotes Benedetto Vigna as saying the bonus amounts to a whopping €14,400, or approximately $15,000, at current exchange rates. That just so happens to be the starting price of a brand-new Fiat Panda in its most basic form at home in Italy. Technically, buyers would have to spend an extra €100 to get the car since it starts at €14,500, but dealers in Europe are typically the most willing to make deals to move metal. It's especially true for aging cars, and the current-generation Panda has been around for 14 years.

Yearly bonuses are part of Ferrari's modus operandi, and the latest paycheck is even bigger than the last one, as workers took home €13,500 in 2024. The Prancing Horse is doing better than ever, so now is an excellent time to work for the company. Not that the job itself isn’t rewarding enough. Buying a new car without paying it from the monthly salary is the icing on the cake.

The foundations for equally solid results in 2025 and 2026 are already tangible. The order books are thick enough to cover the entire production run for the next two years. Consequently, newly placed orders will not be fulfilled until early 2027. That doesn’t mean Ferrari will pause its new model onslaught in the next 24 months. This year alone, it intends to roll out six new cars, one of which will not have a combustion engine. The first-ever EV will break cover on October 9, when hell will probably freeze.
