Fern Britton has admitted that she talks to her cats when she has a problem following her love split from celebrity chef husband, Phil Vickery.
The TV host married celebrity chef Phil in 2000, but after 20-years together, the pair went their separate ways in 2020.
The former This Morning star previously confessed that she missed being best friends with her ex-husband Phil.
Speaking to Weekend Magazine she admitted the pair's romance had unfortunately run its course.
Nowadays, Fern still misses 'talking through' her problems with her ex-husband, so instead, she shares her woes with her beloved cats.
"I miss the opportunity of talking through a problem with another adult, to get their take on it. So I talk to the cats, who usually have the answer," the star confessed.
Fern recently admitted that moving on from ex-husband Phil has been difficult, after the couple split following 20 years of marriage.
The TV presenter spoke candidly about life after divorce, and in a recant interview with Woman&Home, she said the 'rebound' has been difficult - and not as easy as people said it would be.
“People say they bounce back from a long relationship, but it takes a while. The rebound is difficult. You chuck the pebble in the pond, but the ripples go on for a very long time,” the 64-year-old mused.
“It’s been a long time getting to the dawn, but I’m in another brand-new chapter and do feel it will be all right,” Fern added, as she said she has a more 'peaceful life now, and enjoys yoga, meditation and walking, which she said was 'self-care'.
Fern and Phil shocked fans when they announced their split two years ago, and she said last year it’s been 'hard' dealing with divorce.
“I have had a bad two or three years. Both of my parents died, my beloved cat died and unfortunately my marriage died,” she told BBC Breakfast.
“It was a bit of a tough time but we are getting through. And it is all OK. There is life afterwards,” the mum-of-three shared.
