Fermanagh and Omagh bin collection and recycling centre opening times over Christmas

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has released details of bin collections and recycling centre opening times for the Christmas period.

While the festive period may be a time for eating, drinking and being merry, that often leads to a build-up of waste in the home, and many council facilities operate with reduced hours.

From Christmas Eve there may be some disruption to the standard bin collection and centre opening days - here's all the details below based on the council area covering Co Fermanagh.

Household bin collections

Bin collections will operate as normal from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 December 2022.

There will be no bin collection service on Monday 26 December 2022. Please note that bins due to be collected on this date will instead be collected on Saturday 31 December 2022.

Bin collections will operate as normal on Monday 2 January 2023. Please present your bin by 7am with the handles facing outwards on the day of collection.

Recycling centres

All recycling centres across the Fermanagh and Omagh area will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The following recycling centres will open as normal from Tuesday 27 December:

  • Carrickmore
  • Dromore
  • Drummee, Enniskillen
  • Fintona
  • Gortrush, Omagh

Newtownbutler, Roslea and Lisbellaw recycling centres will reopen on Tuesday 27 December, will be closed on Thursday 29 December before reopening on Friday 30 December.

Irvinestown, Tempo and Kinawley recycling centres will be closed on Tuesday 27 December but will reopen fully on Wednesday 28 December.

Belleek recycling centre will be closed on Tuesday 27 December and Thursday 29 December.

Garrison recycling centre reopen on Tuesday 27 December but will be closed on Wednesday 28 December, Friday 30 December and Monday 2 January.

Kesh recycling centre will reopen on Tuesday 27 December, but will be closed on Thursday 29 December and Friday 30 December.

Lisnaskea recycling centre is currently temporarily closed for refurbishment works and will not open over the Christmas period.
