A glamorous evening party with Champagne and caviar is part of a festive programme of events being hosted at Fenwick in Newcastle and there are still tickets up for grabs.
The over-18s party will take place in the city store's first floor restaurant and music club Arthur's which opened in the summer and the dress-to-impress occasion on December 10 will include fine dining and live music. Arthur's Christmas Party will begin at 6.45pm with a Champagne cocktail before an indulgent four-course dinner with the likes of smoked salmon, caviar, duck and Christmas pudding.
This will be served against a backdrop of music from five-piece pop and soul band You Should Be Dancing who will be playing a mix of classic floor fillers, rock 'n' roll, disco hits and traditional Christmas songs. The party night, which has tickets on sale for £47, is part of a busy festive programme at the store which currently also still has tickets available for events such as bauble-making and candle-making workshops, costing £47, and children's breakfast and supper sessions with Santa priced at £20 and £27.50.

The decorations to make at the workshop are 'living' ones, meaning they are terrariums: glass baubles to be filled with greenery to create a unique Christmas centrepiece. The Festive Living Plant Bauble Workshop will also take place in Arthur's and will run on both December 12 and 13, from 11.30am to 12.30pm.
Experts from The Plant Workshop, Fenwick's leafy green space selling locally-grown indoor house plants, will provide all the specialist tools and materials needed and they will teach fundamental botanical skills as well as offer tips on how to keep the baubles fresh well into the New Year.
Then, on December 19 and 20, Arthur's will host festive aromatic candle-making workshops from 11.30am-1pm where, once again, there will be experts from The Plant Workshop on hand to lead the way in creating a perfect table centrepiece - or handmade gift - featuring notes of zesty orange and lemon, deep cinnamon, clove and jasmine. The cost is £40.
Festive refreshments also will be included with workshop bookings, with a Bucks Fizz served upon arrival then pastries, cheese, charcuterie, mince pies and hot drinks.
There are still places too for the £27.50 Santa's Supper Club, running until December 23, where children can enjoy a seasonal two-course supper at Arthur’s Restaurant, meet Santa's mischievous elves and then the man himself for photos and a gift; and for Santa's Breakfast Club, running between the same dates, whichs offer a similar experience - this time with breakfast as the meal included - on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings, for £20. There's also a £27.50 Afternoon Tea with Santa option on Sundays until December 18.
In addition there will be a Christmas writing workshop, involving Live Theatre and aimed at six to 12-years old, on Saturday mornings until December 17, costing £14.50, and Storytime with Elves sessions, with festive snacks, to take place on weekends until December 2 followed by Fridays and Sundays until December 16 and then daily up to and including Christmas Eve. The cost is £9.50 per adult and child.
And Fenwick's pop-up Christmas Cinema is back on the store's fifth floor where it will be screening festive movies every Thursday to Sunday this November and then daily throughout December up to Christmas Eve for £17.50 per person.
