Fenerbahce hit with major blow ahead of Rangers return leg

Fenerbahce have been hit with another blow ahead of this week's return leg with Rangers after key defender Caglar Soyuncu was ruled out of the game.

Rangers must defend a two-goal advantage in Glasgow after a famous 3-1 victory against Jose Mourinho's side in the Europa League Round of 16.

Former Atletico Madrid and Leicester City star Soyuncu hobbled off after just 16 minutes of the first leg.

And it's been revealed he suffered bleeding in his thigh muscle and will be out for two weeks, meaning he will miss the trip to Glasgow.

Fenerbahce stated: "Caglar Soyuncu had an MRI scan and bleeding was detected in the right thigh muscle and he has now started treatment to return and will be missing for a period of time."

Meanwhile, Mourinho is set to dump keeper Irfan Can Egribayat and replace him with Croatian No.1 Dominik Livakovic for the second leg at Ibrox.

Reports in Turkey have indicated Mournho wasn't happy with some of their goals conceded against Rangers.

And he's already made the decision to switch keepers for their must-win game at Ibrox.
