FEMA, the federal agency responsible for providing emergency assistance, has reported receiving over 16,000 applications for individual aid in the aftermath of the recent wildfires. This information was shared by FEMA regional administrator during a news conference held on a Saturday morning.

Residents affected by the wildfires are encouraged to apply for FEMA's Serious Needs Assistance program, which offers a one-time payment to help cover costs associated with disaster-related needs. This assistance can be used for essentials such as water, food, infant formula, and other items that individuals had to purchase while evacuating.
