FEMA Provides Critical Aid In Hurricane Helene Recovery Efforts

In response to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, a total of 3,500 federal personnel have been deployed across various states to aid in recovery efforts. This includes 1,000 individuals from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and 1,250 members from urban search and rescue teams.

Frank Matranga, the Director of Individual Assistance at FEMA, reported that the agency has distributed significant resources to the affected areas. This includes 1.9 million meals, 1 million liters of water, 95,000 tarps, 150 ambulances, and 30 generators.

The updates on the relief efforts were shared during a media call that featured representatives from various federal agencies involved in the response to Hurricane Helene. These agencies include the Coast Guard, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Agriculture.
