Allan has revealed what Frank Lampard has been telling him and his team-mates - and explained why it feels like his new boss has been at Everton longer than he has.
Lampard was named as Rafa Benitez’s successor at the end of January, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2024 with the club.
The former England international kicked-off his Everton reign with a 4-1 FA Cup win over Brentford at Goodison Park at the start of this month.
However, he suffered a 3-1 defeat away to Newcastle United in his first Premier League game in charge of the Blues.

But Everton returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Leeds United at Goodison on Saturday to move themselves five points clear of the drop zone.
Lampard played 3-4-3 in his first two games before switching to a four-man defence for the win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
And Allan explained why his new manager is keen on playing a three-man defence instead of the more traditional four at the back.
“The professor has been here for (a little over) a week, but it feels longer,” the Brazil international told Globo Esporte.
“He has already shown us what his objective is: playing with three defenders in defence gives the team more options.
“He believes that it will be better for the whole team and I also believe that having three defenders helps us put more pressure on opponents when we advance. The fact that he has experience as a midfielder helps a lot too.”
During his playing days, Lampard was one of English football’s most decorated players, showcasing his talents for both club and country.
The 43-year-old won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League during his time with Chelsea.
And Allan has revealed that he has already been getting some special advice from Lampard about how to play in midfield.
He said: “Of course! He gave us a lot of guidance and help. He was dominant in his position and has been very successful in this new coaching position. He gives us a lot of help and advice, which makes it easier for all of us.”
