On Wednesday, federal workers at various agencies received department-wide memos instructing them to report any attempts to hide work related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. This directive came as part of the Trump administration's orders to start dismantling all DEI programs within federal agencies.
The memos highlighted concerns about some individuals within the government trying to mask these programs by using vague or coded language. Employees were advised to notify authorities about any alterations made to contract descriptions or personnel position descriptions since November 4, 2025. The memos also warned that failing to report such information within 10 days could lead to adverse consequences.
The communication strongly criticized diversity efforts, accusing them of creating division among Americans based on race, misusing taxpayer funds, and fostering discriminatory practices.
