Fed-up mum told to 'move now' after neighbour causes her to 'live in hell'

A mum has spoken out about living 'in hell' due to a neighbour who has a number of pets.

While we can choose our home, we can't choose our neighbours and one mum has shared how her family is suffering from 'sleep deprivation' under 'tortuous conditions' due to their neighbour and their 10 dogs.

Taking to popular forum, Mumsnet, she wrote: "I moved in October to maisonette with my six-year-old.

"Below us lives a woman with 10 dogs. These dogs are never walked and always inside her two-bedroom house.

"Obviously barking is constant. Day and night. Our life is hell, sleep deprivation is form of torture and it's not fair on dogs to always sit indoors too. I've reported them but nothing's been done.

She asked: "Is my only option to move now? Is it animal cruelty to keep 10 dogs inside?

"Can anyone give me advice, I'm desperate now, my child is disabled and she can't sleep at night, begging me to stop the barking."

The mum added: "The smell is unbearable too. It comes up to our house from downstairs. Landlords are saying they would never allow that amount of dogs and looking at tenancy breach.

Comments flooded in to try and offer advice, with many saying the same thing.

One said: "I'd move, yes. This situation is unlikely to improve."

"Are you able to move? I know it's another upheaval but I think it's going to be very hard to fix," another added.

A third said: "This is awful I'm so sorry, I think the best solution is probably to move."
