A popular Italian restaurant and bar has told customers it will be closing after just two years.
Roberta's, nestled in the heart of the city centre, told customers with reservations that the restaurant is "closing with immediate effect" in an email. The restaurant and third parties have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The venue, located on St Vincent Street, opened in late summer of 2021.
A customer who was booked in for a birthday meal has shared an email with Glasgow Live which reads: "Thank you for booking with 5pm. With regards to your booking at Roberta's, unfortunately we have just been informed by the restaurant that they are closing with immediate effect so are unable to accommodate you.
"All restaurants have agreed to inform us of any changes to availability but regrettably, on this occasion, they did not manage to advise us in time to prevent your booking from taking place."
The restaurant served Italian favourites like wood-fired pizzas, pasta and delicious cocktails.
Their reason for closing is unknown as the restaurant themselves are yet to make an official statement on their social media pages.
Roberta's has been contacted for comment.
