FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has inked a significant long-term deal with sportswear giant Adidas. The young prodigy from FC Barcelona has officially entered into a 'long term partnership' agreement with Adidas, as announced by the renowned German brand on Monday.
Adidas expressed its pride in welcoming Lamine Yamal to the Adidas family, highlighting his exceptional playing style as a perfect fit for the X Crazyfast boots, tailored to enhance his agility and explosiveness on the wing.
Originating from Rocafonda, located just 40 minutes away from his club's training grounds, Lamine maintains a strong connection to his roots in the area. The partnership unveiling video, shared on adidasFootball platforms in collaboration with Lamine, celebrates his football journey and ties to the 304 area code of Rocafonda.
Adidas disclosed that to mark the beginning of this partnership in a personalized manner, Lamine will sport the adidas X Crazyfast Leo Messi ‘Spark Gen10s’ during both European and Domestic competitions, a privilege shared only with the legendary Leo Messi himself.
In his statement, Lamine expressed his pride in joining Adidas, a brand synonymous with excellence. Drawing inspiration from Messi, whom he idolized growing up and who has been an Adidas ambassador since Lamine's early days in football, he eagerly anticipates the fruitful years ahead with Adidas.
Following in Messi's footsteps, Lamine emerged from Barca's esteemed La Masia academy, where he enrolled at the tender age of seven. Despite his young age, Lamine has already surpassed several records, including becoming Barca's youngest debutant in the 21st century and clinching the title of the youngest La Liga goalscorer.
His exceptional performance earned him a call-up to the Spain national team, where he became the youngest cap winner and goalscorer for La Roja. Amidst his consistent starting appearances on the right wing under the guidance of head coach Xavi Hernandez, Lamine's agreement with Adidas marks another milestone in his burgeoning career.
As he continues to don the same boots as the iconic number 10, Lamine aims to contribute to Barca's pursuit of retaining the La Liga title and making a formidable impact in the Champions League.
