On paper, the season finale of FBoy Island season two was a complete success. The three leading ladies — Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov and Ally Woodfall — all managed to avoid the FBoys and leave the show with Nice Guys. Well, so they thought.
Nicole and her pick Jack Johnston, and Ally and her boo Joe Blanch are still happily coupled up but shortly after the premiere was released, Krystal revealed that she’d already split with Paddy.
PEDESTRIAN.TV had a chat with Krystal a few hours after the finale hit BINGE, and said that it was the long distance that caused the demise of their relationship. A few days later, she followed up with more insight.
“Unfortunately Paddy and I are not together anymore,” she began.
“He completely blindsided me during the show. The nice guy act he put on for me and the viewers is not what was true after the cameras stopped rolling.”
Throughout the season, Paddy made it clear that he was a reformed FBoy who had come along way since his womanising days. However, Krystal doesn’t think that’s true.
“I think if anyone were to ask whether FBoys can be reformed, I’d say definitely not,” she continued.
“Paddy is a clear example of that.”
While Krystal doesn’t have any regrets from her time on the show, she admits that it’s been a bit difficult watching the season back from a viewer’s perspective.
“It’s hard watching the season back as I think his intent was very clear from the beginning and I wish I’d have seen his real side sooner,” she said.
Ooooft. Rough stuff.
On Instagram after the show, Paddy thanked Krystal for the experience.
“She allowed me to open up, be myself and made me feel comfortable enough to slowly let my walls and guard down throughout our journey together,” he wrote alongside a photo of them together.
“I wish her nothing but happiness in the near future.”
While it’s a bummer their romance crumbled, Krystal says she’s in the early stages with a new boo. But if that doesn’t work out — Krystal, I know sooOooOooo many lovely mid-men you can date. Let me know!!!!
