This initiative, named 'Operation Not Forgotten,' is a collaboration between the FBI and the US Bureau of Indian Affairs, focusing on crimes such as physical and sexual abuse of children, missing persons cases, violent assaults, domestic violence, and murder.
During the period from June to September, the operation led to the arrest of 40 suspects, the indictment of 11 alleged violent offenders, and the rescue of nine children from abusive situations. The FBI emphasized the importance of building partnerships with federal and tribal law enforcement agencies to expedite the criminal justice process and provide support and justice for victims and their families.
